Startup and Foundation (2001–2011)
In 2001, the company’s predecessor, Guangzhou Hanfang Modern Traditional Chinese Medicine Research and Development Co., Ltd., was established. In 2002, it applied to become a National Engineering Research Center and, in 2007, successfully passed the acceptance inspection by the National Development and Reform Commission at a high standard, thereby receiving official accreditation. In 2011, the company invested in establishing Tibet Nyingchi Guangyao Development Co., Ltd., laying out its presence in upstream resources.
Integration and Upgrading (2012–2020)
In 2012, the company officially changed its name to Guangzhou Baiyunshan Hanfang Modern Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. During this period, it established the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Lipids, and its products were registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, marking the beginning of its internationalization journey.
Takeoff and Breakthroughs (2021–Present)
In 2022–2023, the company achieved pivotal technological breakthroughs: medium-chain triglycerides and refined olive oil active pharmaceutical ingredients were successively approved for market launch, breaking the long-standing foreign monopoly. In 2023, the company was awarded the National May Day Labor Medal; in 2024, it was selected as a national-level “Little Giant” enterprise specializing in niche fields and demonstrating innovative strengths, and was also recognized as a National Green Factory. In 2025, the company successfully secured strategic investment exceeding RMB 100 million from Guangzhou Industrial Investment Group, completing financing under a mixed-ownership reform.
