Natural active ingredients, with their mildness, safety, and outstanding efficacy, have become a core competitive advantage in the beauty and health sectors. However, industry challenges such as “poor absorption, easy degradation, and diminished efficacy” have long hindered their industrial application—most natural ingredients, including curcumin, glutathione, and plant polyphenols, either struggle to penetrate the skin barrier or intestinal mucosa due to poor solubility or excessive molecular weight, or are broken down and rendered inactive during processing, storage, and in vivo delivery, ultimately resulting in the awkward situation of “high-quality ingredients but subpar results.”
